Importing/Exporting MSP Plan using Ganib


Switched to Ganib recently? Is your Project Plan saved in Microsoft Project? No need to worry! You can easily import your MS Project Plan into Ganib and start working on it.

Ganib has a facility of importing as well as exporting your project plan to MS Project. All you need to do is click the respective link.

This is how you can import or export your plan to MS Project:

Import MSP:

1. Go to plan module.

2. In the menu bar above, you can see a MSP link .

3. When you mouse over it, you can view two options Import MSP xml and Export MSP xml.

4. Click on Import MSP xml.

Note* that only the files which are saved with the extension.xml can be imported.

5. Choose File in xml format to be uploaded. Click Next.

 

 

6. Select items which you want to import and click Next.

 

 

7. Map your resources with the workspace resource. Click Next.

 

 

8. Map your workspace resource to MS Project resource name.

 

 

9. Click on Import to import all the data.

 

 

10. Your Plan gets imported.

Export MSP:

1. Go to plan module.

2. In the menu bar above, you can see a MSP link.

3. When you mouse over it, you can view two options Import MSP xml and Export MSP xml.

4. Click on Export MSP xml.

5. You will see a screen, click Finish.

 

 

Your file will get converted into xml format, which you can open using MSProject.
