Hi,

I have followed all the steps listed in http://help.ganib.com/faq/content/28/227/en/installing-ganib-with-jre.html and http://help.ganib.com/60/apache-server-installation-on-1and1

But when I try to to run

$chmod +x Start Ganib.sh

I get this error

chmod: cannot access `Start': No such file or directory

I checked by changing the port number to 7070 also. But it doesn't work. Kindly help. Thank you.

Hello,

You have to add "\" before each space on the command line. Please refer below command.

$chmod +x Start\ Ganib.sh

Thanks & Regards,

Graham

@Graham,

Thank you. I tried the solution that you suggested:

Hello,

You have to add "\" before each space on the command line. Please refer below command.

$chmod +x Start\ Ganib.sh

But the same error still continues to show up.

Thanks,

Shikha

Hello,

The "Start\ Ganib.sh" is present inside the directory "Ganib-3.3-with-jre", so you need to change directory in the terminal with below commands and apply permissions too. So the sequence of commands you will be executing to start Ganib is:

1)   cd ~/Documents/Ganib-3.3-with-jre (To Change the directory)
2)  ~/Documents/Ganib-3.3-with-jre$ chmod +x Start\ Ganib.sh (To Apply the permissions).
3)   ./Start\ Ganib.sh (To Start Ganib application).

Now, Ganib will start properly.

If you are still facing any issues regarding the installation or any other functions with Ganib, Please feel free to contact us. We are happy to help you.

Happy Using Ganib.

Thanks,

Jaclyn
